BMD and AI: Is there an MCP server for BMD NTCS?

BMD relies on its own AI tools in NTCS. For external assistants, there is a web service that runs in your own environment.

BMD NTCS and AI at a glance

Official MCP server None found
Community MCP server No freely available one found
Interface BMD Webservice (SOAP), installed in your own environment
AI in the product Yes, BMD Fox – operated in the EU by default
Vendor BMD Systemhaus GesmbH Accounting, payroll and ERP

Status: October 2026. Checked against the vendor’s own sources, listed below.

BMD NTCS by BMD Systemhaus from Steyr, Austria, is software for accounting, payroll and ERP. If you want an AI assistant such as Claude, ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot to work with BMD data, the first question is: is there an MCP server for it?

In short

We found no official MCP server from BMD and no community server. Instead, BMD ships its own AI tools inside NTCS (BMD Fox). To connect an external assistant, you need your own MCP server that talks to a BMD interface.

What BMD offers itself

AI in the product. BMD ships AI tools (German) inside NTCS: BMD Fox-Text for texts, Fox-Analytics for analyses in natural language, Fox-Filter for searches and Dok-Chat for questions about documents. According to BMD’s AI terms, they run in the EU or the EEA by default, and individual models can be connected through Cortecs GmbH in Vienna. BMD stores billing metadata such as the customer number and consumed tokens on Microsoft Azure servers in the EU. BMD states that it does not use the input data to train models.

A technical interface. BMD’s technical documentation (German) describes the BMD Webservice: a separate web application that is set up in the Internet Information Server (IIS) of your own environment. It comes with a SOAP service, on TCP port 1222 by default. We found no public reference of the operations it offers.

A commercial connector. The vendor WorkAist advertises an MCP connector for BMD NTCS. The page lists the same six tools as for other accounting programs and does not describe which interface the connector uses to reach BMD. We did not test it.

What this means for an AI connection

An AI assistant speaks MCP, BMD speaks SOAP. In between you need an MCP server that

  • runs close to the BMD installation, because the BMD Webservice is set up there,
  • translates the assistant’s requests into calls to the webservice,
  • gets only the rights the user also has in BMD,
  • can only read at first. Writing bookings or payroll data is a separate step with its own approval.

Clarify first: which data the BMD Webservice provides in your version, which licence it needs, and whether the data may leave your network. BMD or your BMD partner can answer that.

FAQ

Questions about BMD NTCS and AI

Is there an MCP server for BMD?
We found no official MCP server from BMD and no freely available community server. bmd.com describes no connector for Claude, ChatGPT or Copilot.
Can I connect BMD NTCS to ChatGPT or Claude?
Not directly. You need an MCP server between the AI assistant and BMD. The technical starting point is the BMD Webservice, which BMD sets up as a web application in your own environment. Which data it provides and which licence it needs is a question for BMD or your BMD partner.
Where do BMD's AI features run?
According to BMD, the AI tools it provides run in the EU or the EEA by default. Depending on the configuration, models outside the EU can also be used. BMD states that it does not use the input data to train models.
