JOIN and AI: Is there an MCP server for JOIN?

No official MCP server found. An open-source server and Zapier use the JOIN API.

JOIN and AI at a glance

Official MCP server We found none, neither in the help centre nor in the API documentation
Community MCP server Yes, join-mcp (by Michael Jauk, dectria), plus Zapier
Interface REST API v3 with a company token, according to the pricing page from the Advanced plan
AI in the product Job Studio writes job ads with AI and suggests salary ranges
Vendor JOIN Solutions AG Recruiting

Status: October 2026. Checked against the vendor’s own sources, see Sources.

JOIN by JOIN Solutions AG from Pfäffikon SZ, Switzerland, is recruiting software: publish job ads on many job boards, collect applications and work through them in a pipeline. If you want an AI assistant such as Claude or ChatGPT to work with JOIN data, the first question is: is there an MCP server for it?

In short

We found no official MCP server from JOIN. But there is a REST API, an open-source MCP server on top of it, and some JOIN actions through Zapier.

What JOIN offers itself

A REST API. API v3 covers jobs, applications, candidates, notes, scorecards and locations. According to JOIN, System Admins create up to ten tokens under Company Settings → Developer → API tokens. A token applies to the whole company, not to one user. According to the pricing page, API access as well as Zapier and Make start with the Advanced plan. JOIN offers no free plan.

AI in the product. In Job Studio, an AI writes the job ad from your input, and “Ask AI” rewrites single sections. According to JOIN, it also suggests a salary range from market data. According to the features page, the AI can also build the hiring pipeline for a role.

Zapier and Make. JOIN has its own apps for Zapier and Make. Both connect with a JOIN API token, so they also need the Advanced plan.

Data location. According to its data processing agreement, JOIN processes the data only in Switzerland, the EU or the EEA, unless agreed otherwise. As cloud providers, the agreement names Amazon Web Services Europe and Google Europe. The list of subprocessors names no separate AI provider.

What the community offers

join-mcp. Michael Jauk of dectria published an MCP server for the JOIN API as open source: join-mcp in the join-client repository, together with an SDK and a command line tool. According to its README, it covers all operations of API v3, including writing ones, and runs locally with the company’s token. As in JOIN itself, a stage move can send automated emails to candidates.

Zapier. Zapier offers four JOIN actions through its MCP server: two job searches, creating an application and changing the status of a job.

What this means for your company

Application data is HR data, often with CVs and references. So:

  • The JOIN token gives access to all of the company’s applications. Create one token per integration so that you can revoke each one on its own.
  • Agree with data protection and the works council which AI tools may see applications.
  • What reaches the AI assistant falls under its terms, no longer under JOIN’s.

FAQ

Questions about JOIN and AI

Is there an MCP server for JOIN?
We found no official one (as of October 2026). There is the open-source server join-mcp, which builds on the JOIN API, and Zapier offers some JOIN actions through its MCP server.
What do I need to connect JOIN to Claude?
An API token from JOIN. According to JOIN, System Admins create it under Company Settings → Developer → API tokens, and the subscription must include API access. According to the pricing page, these are the Advanced and Enterprise plans. There is no free plan, and the Standard plan has no API access. The token applies to the whole company, not to a single user.
Where does JOIN process the data?
According to its data processing agreement, JOIN processes the data only in Switzerland, the EU or the EEA, unless agreed otherwise. As cloud providers, the agreement names Amazon Web Services Europe and Google Europe.

There are community servers for JOIN.
